first shirt I've ever knitted! :'D

white is so not my color, but I had 4 balls of "cotton terry" (85% cotton, 15% rayon) with a label that looked like it was from about the time I was born, that my mom's friend had given me a long time ago. I had to use it up somehow.

overall, I think it turned out pretty good. the whole point of this was to make a shirt that would be appropriate for a teacher in Japan though, and it turned out a tad bit too low for that... guess I'll just have to come up with a good shirt to wear underneath.

and just for fun, the skirt is [link]

*edit 8/3/2007* thanks to all of you that expressed your opinion on the submitions! this version won most of the votes, so this is the one I'm keeping :]

this is adorable! And white looks great on you, crazy girl.

p.s. I like this one way better. A ridiculously cute smile smile you have!

I'm so touched by your goodness. You make me feel so criminal.
:giggle: I prefer this one! You are a super-cute knitting rockstar! I'm so jealous of your shirt-making skillz! Even better than I imagined it would be :D

I have such a dorky smile in this photo >_> glad you like it though... in my opinion, white brings out the red spots (aka acne) on my face. I guess it's not as bad as it was in high school, but you know how it is once your brain makes a bad connection with something : /

anyway, thanks for the kind words and the favorite!
no way dude. i can only WISH to experiement as much with lace and pattern knitting as you have, and produce as much as you have. i can't read knitting instructions worth a penny (really, i just suck at following instructions..).

the fact that I have some experience in sewing clothes did serve as an advantage in making this shirt, methinks. i need to get more yarn~!

thank you for the nice comment and the favorite ;']
I like this one better, too! The smile definitely does it for me. For a first shirt, this turned out great! And vinylram is right... white looks good on you!

Extrapolate that!
thanks~.

*blushes*
Oh, I like this one better.
And I agree with everyone else: You look pretty in white! :D
this is beautiful! and i like this one better... i love the skirt, too!

WARNING: I am a diehard REM/Indigo Girls fan. Those of you who dare venture into such a conversation on either of these bands are hopefully in possession of a high level of tolerance for obsessed rambling, or are equally fixated.
That shirt is GORGEOUS. *____________* Were you working off of a pattern, or did you make the pattern yourself?
